Land Surveyor Technician

We are a well-established and growing Civil Engineering, Land Use Planning, and Land Surveying firm located in downtown Vancouver, Washington. We are looking for a self-motivated survey technician that can grow with the company. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years surveying experience with transportation, utility, residential subdivision, and commercial site development projects; knowledge of the laws and regulations pertaining to land surveying in Oregon and Washington experience and use of Trimble Total stations, GNSS Receivers and data collectors and the ability to work efficiently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Standridge Inc. surveyors utilize modern robotic total stations, GNSS receivers and drones. We seek to maximize our use of data collector technology and field to finish techniques. Successful applicants will be expected to perform both field and office tasks in roughly equal proportions. Ability to conform to company standards and safety rules is paramount. Experience with AutoCAD is required and experience with Civil 3D is ideal, but not required.

Planning Manager
Summary:
Standridge, Inc. has been offering Planning, Civil Engineering and Surveying services in for over 10 years. Our office is located in beautiful downtown Vancouver, Washington. We are looking for a creative Planning Manager to lead regional land use projects from feasibility through construction. The Planning Manager will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary design team including surveyors, civil engineers, designers and outside consultants. If you are someone who likes to see your projects come to life and have fun on the way, this may be a perfect role for you!
What you will do:
· Manage complex land use planning projects.
· Research and analyze project feasibility.
· Advise design team on project elements needed to achieve regulatory compliance.
· Coordinate with and present project information to clients, jurisdictional staff, stakeholder groups and elected officials.
· Prepare application materials, including detailed written narratives, demonstrating project compliance with approval criteria.
· Track project schedule and budget to ensure success.
· Develop marketing materials, and seize the opportunity to represent company culture and values during networking opportunities.
What you will bring:
· Knowledge of land use planning, local government requirements (building codes, zoning, environmental, transportation, etc) and the development entitlement process – primarily in Oregon and Washington states.
· Understanding of the real estate development process and client needs.
· Ability to research and quickly discern relevant information.
· Ability to work as part of a multi-tasking, fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team.
· Great written and verbal communication to convey project elements, needs and regulatory compliance.
· Background in project management software and tools, and motivation to stay current with the latest technology.
· Innovative thinking to create solutions that further project goals.
· Passion for fostering client and sub-consultant relationships.
· Ability to be detail-oriented while keeping the big picture in mind.
Your education and experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree in urban planning, public policy, landscape architecture, geography, natural resources, or other relevant field.
· Master’s Degree or AICP certification preferred.
· 5-years minimum professional experience in related field.
